# 2

Summary

Writing reflects on packet 1 feedback, specifically unpacking notes and questions around the roles of influence that Marxism, decolonialism, feminism, and spirituality have in the Imago DEIsign framework.

Essays explore the lineage fo the framework as well as hierarchical systems that exist in academia, and the design at large—and offers ways to challenge those hierarchies.

An Imago assignment demonstrates role of self-recognition in the creation of culture.

Notes Capture thoughts on the first 2 meetings of the Friday Faculty Lounge series, and readings: Labyrinth of Solitude by Octavio Paz, You Dreamed of Empires by Álvaro Enrigue, and The Conditional Design Workbook by Studio Moniker.

The very beginning of a fourth altar subject are captured.

Projects document the incorporation of my Altars to Life into the practice of 'creative shipping,' as well as continued documentation and shipping of ideas and work connected to the Imago DEIsign project.

Care & Feeding I earnestly invested in my care & feeding practice as I could feel the burnout starting to hit pretty hard. I treated myself to a solo date to see Jaime Muñoz and eat molé at Olvera Street. I also caught the Mickalene Thomas show at the Broad on it’s closing weekend. Seeing these two exhibitions made a profound impact on how I am thinking about “shipping” my altars, more specifically how to present contexts for understanding in a generous and hospitable way.
